Brian Clark, Network Coordinator, Casper College – Brian is a seasoned Network Administrator at Casper College in Wyoming, He currently oversees all aspects of the college’s network infrastructure, emphasizing cybersecurity, automation, and system efficiency. With expertise in Python programming, C++, SQL, and disaster recovery, Brian’s team ensures the deployment of innovative wireless solutions and maintenance of the college’s network monitoring systems.. Brian holds a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Science from the University of Wyoming. He has held roles as a Genetics Researcher, where he presented at international conferences, and a Program Leader at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, enhancing youth programs in technology and science. A Certified Ethical Hacker, his professional ethos is driven by a commitment to precise and ethical terminology in cybersecurity, a topic he advocates for at symposiums like the upcoming Rocky Mountain Cybersecurity Symposium. His affiliations include membership in EDUCAUSE, a leading non-profit for IT leaders in education. Lucas Shaw DBA / Computing Services Coordinator – Northwest College Powell Wyoming – Lucas Shaw is a DBA and Computing Services Coordinator at Northwest College (NWC) in Wyoming, where he has served for the past six years. He is passionate about maximizing the value of Ellucian Colleague through excellent customer service, creative integrations, and practical custom development. Lucas has been an active contributor to the RMUG community, presenting at the 2023 conference on using Postman to test Ethos APIs and delivering a walkthrough of NWC’s My.NWC.Edu Experience portal implementation. In 2025, he returned with a reprise of the Postman session and a hands-on tutorial on building Experience Extensions, using NWC’s Holds card as a real-world example. As primary implementer of the My.NWC.Edu Experience portal, he has developed numerous custom extensions and features using Ellucian Ethos APIs, Data Connect Serverless APIs, and custom APIs. Lucas is especially proud of the recently created Pre-Registration extension and the Microsoft Productivity Experience enhancements, both of which have delivered significant value to faculty, staff, students, and applicants at NWC. He enjoys solving real campus problems with practical solutions and freely sharing his discoveries with fellow Colleague professionals
Lisa Smith, Institutional Research Manager, Northwest College, Wyoming Lisa has worked in Institutional Research at Northwest College since 2009 through multiple changes to reporting tools. She loves working in Excel and CROA (BusinessObjects), regularly works in SSMS (SQL) and Tableau, and plans to learn other tools in the future. She uses the techniques in this session for both new and familiar tools.
